The 2021 Carroll County Public Schools will live stream

Carroll County Public Schools is
a school
district based
in Westminster, Maryland. CCPS is the ninth largest in the state of Maryland. More than 26,500 students
are enrolled in the county's public schools. The school system includes all of Carroll
County, Maryland.
In testing, the Carroll County schools typically score well above the state and national
averages.
The Carroll County public schools are now
administered by Steven Lockard. Superintendent Lockard assumed this role
in July 2018. Previously, CCPS was led by superintendent Stephen
H. Guthrie.
Guthrie
began his first four-year term as Superintendent on July 1, 2010 and was
appointed to a second term in the summer of 2014. On October 31, 2014,
Superintendent Guthrie was named the 2015 Maryland Superintendent of the Year.
He also served as the President of the statewide superintendent association for
2015.
The Board of Education consists of five elected Board of Education members and
one non-voting student member.
On December 10, 2015, the Carroll County Board of Education announced a written
decision to close North Carroll High School, Charles Carroll Elementary School,
and New Windsor Middle School. In addition, a boundary adjustment plan
established how students from the schools that were closed in Carroll County
would be redistributed to other various school districts in the Carroll County

Carroll Community College is a community
college and lifelong education center offering credit and non-credit courses
within a wide range of programs and subjects. Carroll Community College
opened in 1976, providing education and learning opportunities to over 12,000
people annually. The majority of students attending Carroll are Carroll
County residents. The top areas of study at the College are General
Studies, Arts and Sciences, Teacher Education, Business Administration, and
Nursing. Graduates of Carroll often transfer to area colleges such as
Towson University, McDaniel College, University of Maryland, and Stevenson
University. Carroll Community College also provides continuing education,
