    Each year more than 150 theme wreaths are displayed through this week-long silent auction that is one of the Carroll County Arts Council’s most significant fundraising events.     No pre-registration is required.  The BERC Job Fair is an event that enables community members and job seekers to meet and speak with representatives from area businesses that are looking for qualified employees.  Job seekers can complete applications and distribute their resume to participating businesses.

    July 10 - 28 | Living History Camp

    Carroll County Farm Museum, 500 S. Center Street, Westminster. 9am – 4pm daily.
    Living History Camp teaches children entering 3rd – 5th grade the skills they would have needed to survive rural life in the 1800s.  Hands-on experiences and demonstrations make history come alive as campers travel back in time each day.  Campers will learn old-time skills from master craftsmen, play old-fashioned games and make traditional arts projects to take home.     July 15 & 16 | Civil War Encampment and Living History

    Union Mills Homestead and Grist Mill, 3311 Littlestown Pike, Westminster. 
    9am – 4pm.
    Two days of special events commemorate Civil War history at the actual encampment sites of J.E.B. Stuart's Cavalry and Sykes' Union V Corps. Cavalry, Infantry, and Artillery drills, living history and skirmishes.  Admission includes all the living history, reenactments, presentations, and walk-through tours of the house and mill. On Saturday evening from 7pm – 9pm we will be holding a Civil War dance. Admission to the dance is included in the park admission, or as a separate ticket at $5 a person. More info. 410-848-2288

    July 21 & 22 | Message in a Bottle Beach Tea

    July 23 | 6th Annual Firefighter 50 Bike Ride

    Pleasant Valley Community Fire Company, 2030 South Pleasant Valley Road, Westminster.  6:30am – 6pm.
    Bike routes range from 30 miles to 101 miles through Western Carroll County and into Eastern Frederick County which will include a portion of southern Pennsylvania. The fee is $35 in advance, $40 same day of ride, which includes full lunch, fully supported rides, and entry for door prizes. Check out the website for complete information and route maps.
